1838: Another Historic Flood

According to statistics, devastating floods occur in Hungary approximately every 200 years. The last previous such flood destroyed a great part of Buda and Pest, and of other parts of the country in1838.

New Hungarian Treasure - Conductive Education
Conductive Education, developed in Hungary by Dr. Pető András, is helping many children with conditions caused by brain damage, such as cerebral palsy. Zsuzsa Deer trained at the Pető Institute in Budapest, and at St. Vincent’s in Bridgeport. Here she describes the method used to help these children.
