2011 July-August
Hungarian School Gulyas Parti held on Sunday, May 22nd, in Monroe, Connecticut to celebrate the end of the 2010-2011 school year. A very nice crowd showed up at the farm in Monroe, graciously loaned to the School by the Hungarian owner, who has done this for years in the past. Szilvia Toth coordinated the cooking and arrangements. Her future husband and inlaws were in attendance, and we had a chance to meet them.
On the menu were such delicacies as gulyas ( cooked over an open fire), sutni szallonna, pulled port, hamburgers and hot dogs, assorted drinks, and Hungarian pastries. A good time was had by all.
